Well this weekend started rather busy for us.

Saturday we had a family wedding in the next state over which involved a three hour trip to get there.  It was a beautiful wedding but the heat was just horrible!  In the car on the way there the thermometer said it was 99 degrees outside!!  I know many of us weren’t prepared for an outside wedding in that heat!  I took a ton of pictures and will try to post them either tonight or tomorrow…check back.  Then we drove the three hours home and got home late but we needed to get the sitter home.

Sunday we got up and got ready to go to the in-laws for a family party..which was great but exhausting in the heat!  It has just been too hot and sticky outside for my liking.  I prefer the air conditioner on days in the high 80’s and 90’s!  Plus my blood sugar went very low and I went into insulin shock.  Not a good thing!

Today I got up and had to get the kids ready to go so that we could get to the Dr’s office on time.  Kylie had her two year check up today!  She was such a good girl and only cried a little bit with her shots.  (She got two!)  She received two cute band aids, a lolliypop and a sticker – so she was happy when we left to go home.  Her stats are:  36 inches tall and 29 lbs 2 oz.  Not bad for a 2 year old..lol.  She is in the 90th percentile for height an 75th percentile for weight..which is perfect for a child her age.  She even sang Row Row Row Your Boat a little for the Dr.  🙂

When we got home we picked up a bit and then I did the following:

  • Washed the dishes in the sink

  • Emptied the dishwasher

  • Vacuumed

  • cleaned off the kitchen counter and kitchen table

  • made lunch for the kids

  • ate lunch for myself (this doesn’t always happen – Salad with blueberries added..yummy – thanks again for the lettuce Julie!)

  • got Kylie down for her nap

  • played with play doh with Melody

  • swept the patio as it was covered with dirt from the huge rain storm that came through lastnight

  • burned photos onto a CD for a family member

  • organized a bit

  • cleaned the back door/window..full of hand prints from the girls!

Boy am I tired!  I still have to make dinner and we are going out to Cold Stone Creamery tonight to have a special treat for the girls.  They each got a coupon for a free ice cream for their birthdays.
